Hey there beach lovers! Are you ready to make the most of your day at the beach? Whether you’re a beach newbie or a seasoned sandcastle builder, I’ve got some tips to help you soak up the sun and surf while keeping the good vibes flowing.
First things first, don’t forget the essential! Sunscreen is your best friend. Make sure to slather on that SPF50 to protect your skin from those sneaky UV rays even on a cloudy day. And don’t forget to reapply after taking a dip in the Alborán sea – water and sweat can diminish the effectiveness of sunscreen and leave you with unimaginable blisters.
Now, let’s talk about snacks, so you definitely need an ice box. A day at the beach wouldn’t be complete without some tasty treats. Pack some fresh fruits my favorite is watermelon and pineapple for beach days, granola bars, and maybe even some cheeky salted snacks. Do not forget to take plenty of water but remember, no glass containers allowed on most beaches – we don’t want any accidental foot injuries!
Okay, so you’ve got your sunscreen and snacks – what’s next? How about some entertainment? Whether it’s a good book, some rackets and ball or a bucket and spade, having something to keep you occupied can make your beach day even more enjoyable. And hey, if you’re feeling adventurous, why not try
or paddleboarding? You might discover a new hobby! Two good places to try water sports in Torremolinos are Playa Rafa and Escuela Judy where you can try all sorts from parasailing and jet skis to pedalos and banana boats.
Before you head out, make sure you’ve got a decent hat, a good umbrella or a beach tent to create some shade, it’ll give you a break from the sun’s rays and provide a cozy spot for a seaside siesta so you can actually feel that famous sea breeze also a spot to keep all your goods in a shaded area. I advise getting as close to shoreline as possible so no need to run over the burning hot sand but if you can’t get flipflops out.
What really elevates a beach experience is a beach chair and I’m not talking about the beds you can rent but just a little camping chair on the beach can make a world of difference keeping you up off the sand and in the winds, path saving you a fortune in beach beds.
