Are you ready for a fantastic holiday in Torremolinos? Get ready for 7 days of pure bliss with my perfect itinerary for this sunny Spanish destination.
Day 1: Arrival and Beach Day
After a smooth or not-so-smooth check-in at your hotel, it’s time to hit the beach and soak up the sun. Playa La Carihuela is the perfect spot to start your vacation. Enjoy the golden sand. The water is nice and shallow for the little ones. Sip on a refreshing drink at the vibrant beach bars. The many Chiringuitos the Carihuela offers will fulfill your expectations. I would recommend going to the restaurant Casa Juan De los Melizos for a traditional Spanish lunch like Paella, seafood, traditional Spanish potajes
Day 2: Explore the Old Town
Discover the charming narrow streets channelling off Calle Europa, picturesque plazas, and traditional Andalusian architecture in the heart of Torremolinos. Take advantage of the Calle San Miguel. It is one of the busiest walking streets in Europe. It is filled with boutiques, shops, cafes on of my favorites is Heladeria San Miguel, and local vendors.
Day 3: Day Trip to Malaga
Hop on a short train ride for less than 5€ and spend the day exploring the bustling city of Malaga. Visit the Alcazaba. Go to the birthplace and museum of Picasso. Take a stroll through the beautiful gardens of Paseo del Parque Oeste. Indulge in some authentic tapas. A good choice for A to B travel is to use the Uber app to rent a scooter. It is also great for sightseeing. The local metro also makes public transport in Malaga seamless.
Day 4: Water Park Fun
Get ready for an exhilarating day at Aqualand Torremolinos. From thrilling water slides to relaxing pools, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. It’s the perfect way to cool off and have a blast. It is an amusement park after all so expect long ques and high prices on food, drinks and extras. Definitely take your own food and drinks to keep the price down.
Day 5: Flamenco Evening
Immerse yourself in the passionate world of flamenco with a fiery evening of live music and dance. Several venues in Torremolinos offer unforgettable flamenco shows. These performances will leave you with a deep appreciation for this captivating art form. I would suggest Pepe Lopez Flamenco show in the Plaza de la gamba alegre as its one that I adore.
Day 6: Excursion to Nerja
Take a scenic drive to the beautiful town of Nerja and explore its stunning beaches, including the famous Playa Burriana. Don’t forget to visit the breathtaking Nerja Caves, a natural wonder filled with impressive rock formations. Don’t forget to get a picture for the Instagram at the Balcon de Europa
Day 7: Relaxation and Farewell
Spend your last day unwinding at the hotel pool or enjoying a leisurely walk along the beach. Take in the last moments of sunshine. Savour the memories you’ve made in Torremolinos. Bid farewell to this lovely destination.
